We’re the Frearson family and we can’t wait to share our home away from home, Mickey’s Copacabana, with you. We are a large family of 6 humans, 2 dogs, and a horse. With all of us around there is never a dull moment!
Our story…
During our childhood, both me, mom, and my husband were blessed with many wonderful memories of our first Florida trip with our families. For my husband, there was that first trip across the pond and for me, that Camper Road Trip that took us all the way from NY to FL. When we got married and had our own family, we kept the tradition up, escaping from New York’s cooler weather to the sunny palms of central Florida.
Florida became our family’s little haven and our trip down there became an event, a family affair that was often planned more than a year in advance. The excitement and the anticipation of an escape were all that we needed. At first, we had always stayed in hotels, with the Disney ones being our absolute favorites, but as our family grew so did our needs. Most hotels are not designed to support large families and ours had grown from 2 to 3 to 4 children. And so, a new era of adventure and vacations started.
In the fall of 2012, we first visited the Windsor Palms Resort with family who flew in from the UK and fell in love with the resort. Its location, the seemingly never-ending warmth and sunshine it provided during our late fall and early spring visits were a welcome revival after the long winter in Central New York. It is safe to say all of our winter blues were blown away.
My in-laws loved the place just as much as we did and soon after our visit, they bought a vacation rental in Windsor Palms which we have been blessed to be able to use several times over the years. Those times that we spent there solidified our desire to follow in their footsteps.
In March 2021, after some years of well-thought-out planning, we took the plunge and bought our very own vacation rental property! Our new place needed our love and our goal while there is to create memories with both our children and our parents, while also paving a path for our retirement. In our little slice of heaven, we hope to create and provide a retreat from the everyday grind life brings.
Central Florida is a wonderful place, and we hope that by renting out our property we can create for others the perfect place to create new memories and adventures in their vacation. Whether you are a larger family, or you are traveling with your extended family, we hope that our rental will be perfectly suited for your needs. Much like it was in our case, we wish that Florida will become a place where other families will come to bond and that at the end of their trip, they will continue to remember their trip fondly. And who knows, perhaps many of them will make their visits to Florida a recurring event, much like we did.
